Ad Limina is an annual research journal published by the S.A. de Xestión do Plan Xacobeo, open to studies on the Camino de Santiago and, by extension, to the whole phenomenon of pilgrimages. The magazine has a multilingual profile which accepts and publishes texts in the major languages of the European Community. It has a clearly international and interdisciplinary character which allows it to address a wide range of researchers of any nationality.
Ad Limina’s contents are concentrated on two fields: Compostela and the culture of pilgrimage in general. The journal encourages the publication of studies which have traditionally had a place in most of the Jacobean scientific publications, particulary research on anthropology, archaeology, art, geography, history, iconography, literature and liturgy, but it also seeks to promote less frequented areas such as medicine, law, landscape or the environment, which in recent years have been added to this field of study. Through its dissemination and coverage of the various fields listed, the publication tries to promote Jacobean’s research in as many areas as possible, with a special openess towards new research.
